SVF breaks ground on second Material Recovery Facility in Secunderabad
New facility will double processing capacity to 240 tonnes per month, add 120 sorting jobs.
SECUNDERABAD, 4 November 2025 — SVF today broke ground on its second Material Recovery Facility in Secunderabad, marking a significant expansion of the organisation’s plastic recycling capacity.
The new MRF, spanning 18,000 sq ft, will double SVF’s total processing capacity to 240 tonnes per month. It will feature optical sorting technology, a wash line and a pelletising unit, enabling food-grade PET recycling for the first time in the region.
The facility is expected to create 120 direct jobs, prioritising candidates from the informal recycling community. It will serve 40 additional communities in and around Secunderabad, expanding SVF’s network to over 100 communities.
Construction is expected to be completed by Q3 2026. The project is supported by a grant from the Telangana State Innovation Cell.
