PepsiCo India and SVF launch community plastic collection programme in Hyderabad
Three-year partnership to set up 50 collection points, recover 500 tonnes of PET annually and support 2,000 informal recyclers.
HYDERABAD, 10 February 2026 — PepsiCo India today announced a three-year CSR partnership with SVF to establish a community-driven plastic collection and recovery programme in underserved areas of Hyderabad.
The programme will set up 50 collection points across 25 communities, targeting the recovery of 500 tonnes of PET plastic annually. An estimated 2,000 informal recyclers will be integrated into the collection network, receiving fair pricing, PPE and health support.
“Partnerships like this demonstrate how corporate CSR and grassroots action can work together at scale,” said a PepsiCo India spokesperson. “We are proud to support SVF’s model of combining infrastructure with community engagement.”
The programme includes quarterly reporting against SDG targets, employee volunteering opportunities and co-branded community awareness campaigns.
