Yes. SVF is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Donations of ₹500 or more are eligible for a 50% tax deduction. You will receive an 80G receipt for every donation. This is not tax advice — please consult your CA for your specific situation.
An 80G-compliant receipt is emailed within 48 hours of your donation. If you donate monthly, you will receive a consolidated annual statement by April of the following year.
Absolutely. Email us at hello@svf.org with your donor ID and we will update or cancel your recurring mandate within 2 business days. No questions asked.
SVF currently accepts domestic donations only. We are not yet registered under FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act). International donors are encouraged to check back once FCRA registration is obtained, or contact us to explore alternative giving options.
We accept UPI, net banking, credit/debit cards and NEFT/RTGS. All payments are processed through a PCI-DSS-compliant gateway. No payment details are stored on our servers.
CSR & Companies
Yes. SVF is CSR-1 registered and our plastic recycling programmes fall under Schedule VII (environmental sustainability, sanitation and livelihood enhancement) of the Companies Act, 2013. We provide all documentation needed for your board report.
Our standard CSR partnership starts at ₹25 lakh per year, covering a defined community zone. For smaller commitments, explore our crowd funding page or contact us to discuss a tailored scope.
Yes. CSR partners receive co-branding on collection points, drive materials, impact reports, and social media. We follow the partner’s brand guidelines and approval workflow.
Quarterly utilisation reports with SDG mapping, photo evidence, tonnes recovered, beneficiary counts and an audit trail. An annual audited statement is provided within 90 days of FY close.
Every rupee is tracked through our fund management system. Partner visits are encouraged. We also welcome third-party audits at the partner’s cost. Our own books are audited annually by an independent CA firm.
Absolutely. Every CSR partnership includes an employee engagement component — cleanup drives, MRF visits or school workshops. We coordinate logistics; your team brings the energy.
Yes. We schedule site visits for all CSR partners. You can see the MRF, meet recyclers and visit community drop-points. Advance notice of 2 weeks is appreciated.
Volunteering
No experience needed. We provide gloves, masks, collection bags and a brief on-site orientation. Just show up in closed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dusty.
Most cleanups run 3–4 hours including briefing, collection, sorting and wrap-up. School workshops are 1–2 hours. We publish exact timings for each event.
Yes, volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or submit a signed consent form. School groups are welcome with a teacher chaperone.
Yes. All volunteers receive a digital certificate after the event, detailing hours contributed and activity type. Bulk certificates for corporate groups are available on request.
How SVF Works
Plastic is sorted at our Material Recovery Facility by polymer type, cleaned, shredded and baled. The bales are sold to recycling partners who convert them into new products. Nothing goes to landfill or incineration.
PET (#1), HDPE (#2), PP (#5) and limited LDPE (#4). We do not accept PVC, polystyrene, e-waste, hazardous waste or biomedical waste. Check our collection point signage for the full list.
Hyderabad and surrounding areas of Telangana. Our network spans 64 communities with 186 collection points. We are expanding to three additional cities in Telangana in 2026–27.
We register informal recyclers, provide ID cards, fair-market pricing, access to a wash station, PPE, monthly health check-ups and children’s education support. Over 1,200 recyclers are currently enrolled.
Governance
Yes. SVF is registered as a public charitable trust under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882. We hold 80G, 12A, CSR-1 and PAN registration. All registration numbers are listed on our Annual Reports page.
Our accounts are audited annually by an independent firm of Chartered Accountants. Audit reports, including Form 10B, are published on our Annual Reports page within 90 days of each financial year close.
